the (sum) addition of all even numbers between  200 to 300

Solution:

Even numbers in this case starts from 200.

All the even numbers are in AP with common difference 2.

• a = 200
• d =2

The number of even numbers between 200 to 300 is 51

(By using the formula $a_{n} = a + (n - 1) d$)

Hence n = 51

The formula for the sum of even numbers of an AP is:

$S_{n} = \frac{n}{2} (a + l)$

$S_{n} = \frac{51}{2} (200 + 300)$

= 12750

Hence, the sum of all even numbers from 200 to 300 is 12750
