To Find : sum of all numbers

Solution:

Arithmetic sequence : Sequence of terms in which difference between one term and the next is a constant.

This is also called Arithmetic Progression AP

Arithmetic sequence can be represented in the form :

a, a + d  , a + 2d , …………………………, a + (n-1)d

a = First term

d = common difference = aₙ-aₙ₋₁

nth term =  aₙ =  a + (n-1)d

36,42,48..      90, 96

a = 36

d = 6

96 = 36 + (n - 1) 6

=> 10 = n - 1

=> n = 11

Sₙ = (n/2)(a₁ + aₙ)

Sum = (11/2)(36 + 96)

= 11( 66)

= 726

Hence sum of all the numbers is 726
