find the sum of first 100 positive integer

consider..
two such 1 to 100 numbers are there in reverse order
1,2,3,4,5,6,......100
100,99,98.......1
add the above n below figures..
so we will get 101 at any point
1+100, 2+99.......100+1
so we have 100 of such 101
so 100×101
but we only need one set of 100
so divided by 2
so, 100×101=10100÷2=5050

Answer:

Positive integers=1.2.3.4...........100

n=100

Sum=n/2(2a+(n-1)d)

=100/2(2×1+(100-1)1)

=50(101)

= 5050
