To find:-

  • The sum of first 100 terms of natural numbers.

Solution:-

The sum of first 100 terms of natural numbers is in A.P.

Let,the given A.P be

Sn=1+2+3+.....................+99+100

here,

a=1

d=t2-t1

=2-1

=1

n=100

We know that,

Formula for finding the sum of an A.P

\mathsf{ \dfrac{n}{2}}×{2a+(n-1)d}

Putting the value in the formula,we get

Sn=\mathsf{ \dfrac{100}{2}}×{2.1+(100-1)1}

=50×(2+99)

=50×110

=5500

•°•the sum of first 100 terms of natural number is 5500
