Answer: The sum of first five multiples of 3 will be 45.

Explanation : Here were are using Arithmetic progressions to solve it .

The a.p. formed will be 3 , 6 , ........15.

a = 3 , l = 15 , n = 5

Therefore Sn = n/2 ( a + l )

Putting all the above values in the above formula we will get the the sum as the value of Sn.

We can also use the method of directly adding up the first five multiples of 3 .
