Given :-

AP = 16 , 11 , 6 , . . . . . . 23 terms

\bf{a}_{1} = 16

\bf{a}_{2} = 11

\bf{a}_{3} = 6

\bf{n} = 23

Common difference = \bf{a}_{2} \: {-} \: \bf{a}_{1} = 11 - 16 → -5

\huge{S}_{n} = \frac{n}{2} [ 2a + ( n - 1 ) d ]

  • \frac{ 23 }{ 2 } [ 2 × 16 + 22 × -5 ]
  • 11 × 5 [ 32 - 120 ]
  • 11 × 5 ( -78 )
  • 55 × ( -78 )
  • -897
