sum of integers which are divisible by 6 must be subtracted from sum of integers which are divisible by 2&3 because 6 is the least common multiple of 2&3 hence their multiples get repeated so they must be subtracted .

The integers which are divisible by 2 and 3 = nos which are divisible by 6

6, 12, 18............48

Here, a=6, d=6, an=48

Therefore, an=a+(n-1)d

48= 6+(n-1)6

42/6=n-1

n=8

Therefore, sum= n/2(a+an)

4(54)

216.

fshsjsjsjms: what is meant by a,an,d
