Answer:

sum of n terms (Sn)=n/2 (x1+xn)

where, x1=first term

xn=nth term

Sn=n/2(2+2n)

n/2×2+ n/2×2n

2n/2 + 2n^2 /2

n+n^2

Sn= n+n^2
