\bf\underline{\underline{\orange{Question:-}}}

What is the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a hexagon?

\bf\underline{\underline{\orange{Answer:-}}}

•Think about a hexagon, If you pick one vertex and draw all the diagonals from that one vertex you will create 4 triangles.

•Because every triangle has an angle sum of 180⁰, 4 triangles will have angle sum of 4 x 180⁰ = 720⁰

•The sum of the interior angles of a hexagon is 720⁰.

•This concept can be extended and generalized. You will always end up with two less triangles than original sides. So the interior angle sum formula is:

Interior Angle Sum = (n - 2)x 180⁰; where n is the number of sides.
