We know that , the nth term of first positive even number is 2n

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto S_{n} = \sum_ {i = 1}^{n}2n \\ \\ \sf \mapsto S_{n} = 2\sum_ {i = 1}^{n}n \\ \\ \sf \mapsto S_{n} =2 (\frac{n(n + 1)}{2}) \\ \\ \sf \mapsto S_{n} = n(n + 1)

Hence , the sum of first n positive even numbers is (n + 1)
