We know that

Sum of first n natural numbers

= n ( n + 1 )/2

Here ,

n = 30,

S30 = [ 30 ( 30 + 1 ) ] /2

= ( 30 × 31 ) / 2

= 930 / 2

= 465

Therefore ,

Sum of the first 30 natural numbers

= S30 = 465
