According to given question we are asked to solve the rational numbers .(\frac{-4}{5} ) + ( \frac{13}{10}) + ( \frac{-7}{15} )

To solve : to perform addition and subtraction of given rational numbers.

Solution :

  • To solve above rational numbers we need to check if their denominators  are same or not .
  • To equalize value of denominators we need to take LCM Of all three denominators.
  • LCM = 30
  • Hence by taking LCM and multiplying numerators by same number as denominators we get,

         (\frac{-24}{30} ) + (\frac{39}{30}) + (\frac{-14}{30} )

  • Now , combining denominators and performing simple addition and subtraction we get ,

                   =   \frac{-24 + 39 -14}{30}                                (∵ ( + ) \times (-) = - )

  • on solving we get value as :

                         =  \frac{1}{30}

Hence correct answer is \frac{1}{30} .

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the expression.

           Given data:-\frac{-4}{5} +\frac{13}{10} +\frac{-7}{15}. \\ .

           To find:- the value of \frac{-4}{5} +\frac{13}{10} +\frac{-7}{15}=?\\ .

           Solution:-

  • We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.
  • We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.
  • Adding the numerators over the denominators.

                   \frac{-4}{5} +\frac{13}{10} +\frac{-7}{15}\\=\frac{-24}{30} +\frac{39}{30} +\frac{-14}{30} \\=\frac{-24+39-14}{30} \\=\frac{1}{30} .

Hence we will get the value \frac{1}{30} .
