Answer:

formula of area of trapezium = 1/2 *(b1+b2) h

therefore, 4.2 = 1/2(b1+b2)2.8m

4.2*2/2.8 = b1+ b2

8.4/2.8 =b1 + b2

3 = b1 + b2

therefore sum of the bases of the trapezium is 3.

 \frac{1}{2}   \times(a + b)  \times h

h=280cm

h=2.80m

4.2=1/2×(a+b)×2.80

4.2 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (a + b) \times2.80

4.2=(a+b)×1.40

4.2/1.4=(a+b)

42/14=(a+b)

(a+b)=3
