Since their denominators are same, we can add the numbers in numerator first and then divide....

=> (1+3)/5 = 4/5

(ii) 3/-7 & 2/7

Here, 3/-7 can be also written as -3/7

and also their denominators are same, add the numbers in numerator and then divide...

=> -3+2/7 = -1/7
