Answer:

3x + 2y = 12 ----------- (1)

2x + 3y = 8 ----------- (2)

Multiplying equation 1 by two

Multiplying equation 2 by three

(3x + 2y = 12) × 2

6x + 4y = 24 ---------- (3)

(2x + 3y = 8) × 3

6x + 9y = 24 --------- (4)

Solving equation (3) and (4)

6x + 4y = 24

6x + 9y = 24

____________

- 5y = 0

y = 0

substituting y = 0 in equation (1) or (2) or (3) or (4) we get x value

3x + 2y = 12

3x + 2(0) = 12

3x + 0 = 12

3x = 12

x = 12/3

x = 4
