according to question we have to find  the sum that amounts to Rs. 18,900 in 4 years at 13/2% per year simple interest.​

Given : A = Rs.18900    T = 4 Yrs       R = 13/2%

let sum be $x$ .

Then we know that , S.I =  $(\frac{P\times R\times T}{100} )$

Therefore,  $S.I = Rs.( x \times\frac{13}{2} \times4\times\frac{1}{100} )$

                        = $Rs.\frac{13x}{50}$

as we know , Amount = ( P + S.I )

     Amount = $Rs. ( x + \frac{13x}{50} )$

        18900 = $Rs.\frac{63x}{50}$

$x = \frac{18900\times50}{63}$

on solving we get ,

$x = 15000$

Hence , Rs.15000 is the required sum.
