Common Difference = 2-5 = -3



An = A + (N-1) × D




An = 5 + ( N -1) × -3



An = 5 - 3N +3


An = 8+3N

= > a = 5 and d = -3

it's nth term is given by


Tn = a + ( n - 1 ) d

=> Tn = 5 + ( n - 1 ) × -3

=> Tn = 5 -3n +3

=> Tn = 3n + 8

Hence , the nth term is 3n + 8 .
