In question
Given First term = 5
and common difference = ( 2 - 5 )= -3
= > a = 5 and d = -3
it's nth term is given by
Tn = a + ( n - 1 ) d
=> Tn = 5 + ( n - 1 ) × -3
=> Tn = 5 -3n +3
=> Tn = 3n + 8
Hence , the nth term is 3n + 8 .
