so ,

 \dfrac{ - 3}{4}  \times  \dfrac{9}{9}  =  \frac{ - 27}{36}

 \dfrac{2}{9}  \times  \dfrac{4}{4}  =  \dfrac{8}{36}

Now

 =  \dfrac{ - 27  + 8}{36}

 =  \dfrac{ - 19}{36}

so your answer is -19/36
