\huge\mathbb{SOLUTION:-}

\sf\underline{\pink{\:\:\:\:\:\:\:Given:-\:\:\:\:\:\:\:}}

\sf\bullet Dimensions\:of\:cuboid\\ \\ \sf:\implies l=5m\:\:b=4m\:\:h=2.5

  • We have to Find the T.S.A and L.S.A of cuboid

{\boxed{\sf{T.S.A\:of\:cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl)}}}

{\boxed{\sf{L.S.A\:of\: cuboid=2(l+b)h}}}

\bf\underline{\red{\:\:\:\:\:\:\:A.T.Q:-\:\:\:\:\:\:\:}}

\sf:\implies T.S.A\:of\:cuboid=2(5\times 4+4\times 2.5+2.5\times 5)\\ \\ \sf:\implies T.S.A= 2(20+10+12.5)\\ \\ \sf:\implies T.S.A=2\times 42.5\\ \\ \sf:\implies T.S.A= 85m{}^{2}

Now the L.S.A of cuboid

\sf:\implies L.S.A=2(5+4)\times 2.5\\ \\ \sf:\implies L.S.A= 2\times 9\times 2.5\\ \\ \sf:\implies L.S.A=18\times 2.5\\ \\ \sf:\implies L.S.A=45{}^{2}

{\boxed{\sf{T.S.A=85m{}^{2}}}}

\boxed{\sf{L.S.A=45m{}^{2}}}

\huge\bold\green{Question}

Find the surface area and the lateral surface area of the cuboid whose dimensions are length=5m breadth=4m height=2.5m ?

\huge\bold\blue{SolUtion}

\bold\orange{GIVEN: }

We have Dimensions of cuboid

⟹ length = 5 m

⟹ breadth = 4 m

⟹ height = 2.5 m

Now, We have to Find the Total Surface Area [T.S.A] and Lateral Surface Area [L.S.A] of cuboid ⟹

\large\tt\pink{T.S.A\:of\:cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl)}

\large\tt\pink{L.S.A\:of\: cuboid=2(l+b)h}

According to the question , for getting correct solutions we use these formulas

Firstly , we find out T.S.A of cuboid

\begin{lgathered}\tt:\implies T.S.A\:of\:cuboid=2(5\times 4+4\times 2.5+2.5\times 5)\\ \\ \tt:\implies T.S.A= 2(20+10+12.5)\\ \\ \tt:\implies T.S.A=2\times 42.5\\ \\ \tt:\implies T.S.A= 85m{}^{2}\end{lgathered}

Now , we find L.S.A of cuboid

\begin{lgathered}\tt:\implies L.S.A=2(5+4)\times 2.5\\ \\ \tt:\implies L.S.A= 2\times 9\times 2.5\\ \\ \tt:\implies L.S.A=18\times 2.5\\ \\ \tt:\implies L.S.A=45{m}^{2}\end{lgathered}
