surface area of sphere = 4 πr^2

Diameter = d = 3.5

so,

Radius = r = d/2 = 3.5/2

substituting

area = 4 . 22/7.(3.5/2)^2

= 4(22/7)(3.5/2)(3.5/2)

= 22*0.5*3.5

= 38.5 cm^2
