Hi mate

Here is ur answer ⬇️⬇️⬇️

radius , r = d/2=8/2=4

height , h = 7

slant height , l = √ h^2+r^2

=√49+16 = √65 = 8.06

TSA = πr(r+l) sq units

= 3.14 × 4 ( 4+8.06)

= 12.56 ( 12.06)

= 151.4736 sq units.

I hope this will help you....

The surface area of the cone is 151.5 in²

Given:

The diameter of the cone is 8 in

The Height of the cone is 7 in

To find:

Find the surface area of the cone. [ Use 3.14 for π ]

Solution:

Formula used:

The surface area of the cone (SA) =  πr(r+L)

Where r is the radius of the cone

L is the slant height of the cone

And Slant height L = √(h²+r²)

From the data,

The diameter of the cone is 8 in

The radius of the cone (r) = 8 in/2 = 4 in

Height of the cone (h) = 7 in

Slant height L = √(7²+4²) = √65

Using the formula, SA =  πr(r+L)

=> Surface area = (3.14)(4)(4 + 8.06)

= (3.14)(4)(12.06)

= 151.5

Hence,

The surface area of the cone is 151.5 in²
