Given :-

  • Dimensions of cuboid
  • Length (l)= 15cm
  • Breadth (b) 7cm
  • Height (h)= 9cm

To Find :-

  • We have to find the surface area of the cuboid

Solution

As we know that

\underline{\boxed{\it\ Total\ Surface \ area\ of\ cuboid = 2(\ell b+bh+h\ell)}}

Now put the given values in the formula :-

\dashrightarrow\sf\  Surface\ Area = 2\big\{ (15\times 7)+(7\times 9)+(9\times 15)\big\}\\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\  Surface\ Area= 2\big(105+63+135\big)\\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\  Surface\ Area= 2\times 303\\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf\  Surface\ Area= 606cm^2

\underline{\bigstar{\textsf{\textbf{\ Surface\ area\ of\ cuboid = 606 sq.cm}}}}

\underline{\it\ \ \ \  Some\ other\ formula\ Related \ cuboid\ \ \ } \\ \\ \star\it\ Volume\ of\ cuboid = \ell\times b\times h\\ \\ \star\it\ L.S.A\ of\ cuboid = 2(\ell +b)\times h\\ \\ \star\it\ Diagonal\ of\ cuboid = \sqrt{\ell^2+b^2+h^2}

Answer:

Given :-

  • A cuboid whose dimensions are Length = 15 cm , Breadth = 7 cm , Height = 9 cm.

To Find :-

  • What is the surface area of the cuboid.

Formula Used :-

{\underline{\boxed{\small{\rm{T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2(lb + bh + hl)}}}}}

where,

  • T.S.A = Total Surface Area
  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth
  • h = Height

Solution :-

Given :

  • Length = 15 cm
  • Breadth = 7 cm
  • Height = 9 cm

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\sf {:}\implies T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2(15 \times 7 + 7 \times 9 + 9 \times 15)\\

\sf {:}\implies T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2(105 + 63 + 135)\\

{:}\implies \sf T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2(168 + 135)

{:}\implies \sf T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2(303)

{:}\implies \sf T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2 \times 303

{:}\implies {\purple{\boxed{\small{\bold{T.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 606\: {cm}^{2}}}}}}

\therefore The surface area of the cuboid is 606 cm² .

Extra Important Formula :-

\sf {:}\leadsto L.S.A\: of\: Cuboid =\: 2 \times Height (Length + Breadth)\\

where,

  • L.S.A = Lateral Surface Area

\sf {:}\leadsto Volume\: of\: Cuboid =\: (Length \times Breadth \times Height)\\

\sf {:}\leadsto Diagonal\: of\: Cuboid =\: \sqrt{({l}^{2} + {b}^{2} + {h}^{2})}\\

where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth
  • h = Height

\sf {:}\leadsto Perimeter\: of\: Cuboid =\: 4(Length + Breadth + Height)\\
