Find the tangent ratio of angle θ. hint: use the slash symbol ( / ) to represent the fraction bar, and enter the fraction with no spaces.triangle abc is shown. ab measures 15. bc measures 17. ca measures 8. the angle formed at point c is marked theta and angle a is the right angle.

1.875 is the tangent ratio of the angle θ.

Solution:

Comparison between two sides of right triangle which are not hypotenuse is known as tangent ratio.

Let us take the triangle abc with ab = 15 and bc = 17 whereas ca is equal to 8.

Now to find the tangent ratio of the angle θ which is in c for that we use the formula

 \bold{\tan \theta=\frac{\text {Base} \text { of the triangle }}{\text {Height of the triangle}}=\frac{a b}{c a}=\frac{15}{8}=1.875}}   is the tangent ratio of the angle θ.
