The tenth term of ap =-17

Given:

AP 10,7,4

To find:

The tenth term of ap

Formula used:

In arithmetic progression

n^{th} term  = a+(n-1)d

Where a = First term

           n = number of term

           d = common difference

Explanation:

Here   a = First term  = 10

           n = number of term = 10

           d = common difference = 7-10 = -3

n^{th} term  = a+(n-1)d

tenth term = 10 + (10-1)(-3)

                  = 10+(-27)

                  = -17
