Let a1 = 9 , a2 = 12 , a3 = 15.
Difference :
a2 - a1 = 12 - 9 = 3
a3 - a2= 15 - 12 = 3
The difference between two adjacent members of the series are constant and equal..
So the formula An= a1 + (n-1)d
Here , a1=9 (first member of the series)
An= 15 (last member of the series)
d=3 (difference )
n=3 (number of members)
15 = 9 + (3-1)*3
15=9+6
15=15
Hence we can find the next terms by using this formula .....
The next terms of this series are 18 , 21 , 24 , 27 , 30 ......
