  • Now, we know that diameter is a line segment that connects two opposite points on the circumference of a circle and radius is a segment that joins the center of the circle to a point on the circle.
  • So, the radius of a circle is always half of the diameter or it can also be said that the diameter of a circle is always double the radius

So, the relation between radius and diameter is

Diameter = 2 × Radius

Now, we will put the value of radius in the formula

diameter = 2 × 1

                = 2 cm

So, the diameter will be 2 cm.
