Given:

The square of area is 200cm².

To find out:

Find the the lenght of the diagonal of the square?

Formula used:

Area of square = *Diagonal)²/2

Solution:

Let diagonal of the square be d.

We know that,

Area of square = Diagonal/2

✪Putting the value of area

⇨200 = d²/2

⇨d² = 200 × 2

⇨d² = 400

⇨d = 20

Hence, The lenght of the diagonal of the square is 20 cm.

Additional information:

✪Properties of Square

  • The diagonals of a square bisect each other and meet at 90°.

  • The diagonals of a square bisect its angles.

  • Opposite sides of a square are both parallel and equal in length.

  • All four angles of a square are equal.

  • All four sides of a square are equal.
