Base of a right angled triangle = B = 8 cm

Perpendicular of a right angled triangle = P = 6 cm

By Pythagoras Theorem,

(Hypotenuse)²=(Base)²+(Perpendicular)²

Or, H² = 8²+6²

Or, H² = 64+36

Or, H² = 100

Or, H² = 10²

Or, H = 10

Therefore, the length of the third side ie hypotenuse = 10 cm.
