Hey mate this is your answer

Let the other side be x

So, according to pythagoras theorem

(5)²+(x)²=(13)²

25+x²=169

x²=144

x=√144

x=12

So, the other side is 12

Hope it helps you

Answer:

Third side=12cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Hypotenuse = 13cm

Base = xcm(It is not given)

Height = 5cm

Using RHS:

AB^{2}=AC^{2}+BC^{2}

13^{2}=5^{2}+x^{2}

169=25+x^{2}

169-25=x^{2}

144=x^{2}

\sqrt{144}=x

x=12 (third side)
