formula -

${a}^{2} + {b}^{2} = {c}^{2}$

therefore,

${2}^{2} + {6}^{2} = {c}^{2}$

$4 + 36 = 40$

$\sqrt[2]{40} = 6.32$

$= 6.32 \: cm$
