Given :-

• The Sum of three consecutive even Number is 234.

To Find :-

• The 3 consecutive even number whose sum is 234

Solution :-

In this Question it is given that The Sum of three consecutive even number is 234 and we have to find the three consecutive even number, for this firstly we should know that What are even numbers ?. Even Numbers are those numbers which comes in the table of 2. Therefore :

￫ Let the First Even number be x + 2

￫ Let the Second Even number be x + 4

￫ Let the Third Even number be x + 6

According to the Question :

⟹ Sum of Numbers = 234

⟹ x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 = 234

⟹ x + 2 + 2x + 10 = 234

⟹ 3x + 12 = 234

⟹ 3x = 234 - 12

⟹ 3x = 222

⟹ x = 222 ÷ 3

⟹ x = 74

Therefore :-

➟ First Number = x + 2 = 74 + 2 = 76

➟ Second Number = x + 4 = 74 + 4 = 78

➟ Third Number = x + 6 = 74 + 6 = 80
