let the three consecutive numbers be x, x+1   and x +2

Now,

if their sum is 96,

then,

x+x+1+x+2 = 96

3x +3 = 96

3(x+1) = 96

x+1 = 96/3

x+1 = 32

x = 32-1

x = 31

then,

three consecutive numbers are :-

31

31+1 = 32

31+2 = 33

i hope this will help you

Let the numbers be a-d , a and a+d.
a-d+a+a+d=96
3a = 96
a = 32.
d=1.(Since,the numbers are consecutive)
=>a-d = 32-1 = 31.
Similarly, a+d= 32+1 = 33
Thus,
the 3 numbers are 31 , 32 and 33.
