Given, Power P = 500W
m = 50kg
C (Specific heat capacity) = 960J/kgK
or 960J/kg°C
∆t (change in temperature) = 30 - 18 = 12°C
Now,
Heat supplied per second = heat absorbed by the .material
=> P × t = mC∆t
=> 500t = 50×960×12
=> t = 50×960×12/500
=> t = 576000/500
=> t = 1152 seconds.
