Answer :-

Time is 1/2 year

Solution :-

Given

Principal (P) = Rs. 640

Rate of interest (R) = 25/2 = 12.5 %

Simple interest = Rs. 40

Let the time be T years

We know that

Simple interest = PTR/100

⇒ 40 = 640 * T * 12.5/100

⇒ 40 = 64 * T * 12.5/10

⇒ 40 * 10 = 800T

⇒ 400 = 800T

⇒ 400/800 = T

⇒ T = 1/2

Therefore time is 1/2 year

Answer:

The Time is \dfrac{1}{2} years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Gívєn -

Principal = Rs. 640

Rate of Interest = \dfrac{25}{2}

Simple Interest = Rs. 40

Tσ fínd -

The time

Sσlutíσn -

Here ;

  • Time = ??
  • Rate = \dfrac{25}{2}

  • Simple Interest = Rs. 40
  • Principal = Rs. 640

We know -

\tt{SI = \dfrac{Principal \times Rate \times Time}{100}}

\sf{\longmapsto} \: SI = \dfrac{Principal \times Rate \times Time}{100}

\sf{\longmapsto} \: 40 = \dfrac{640 \times  \frac{25}{2}  \times T}{100}

\sf{\longmapsto} \: 40 \times 100 = 640 \times  \frac{25}{2}  \times T

\sf{\longmapsto} \: 4000 = 320 \times  25  \times T

\sf{\longmapsto} \: 4000 = 8000 T

\sf{\longmapsto} \: 4000 = 8000T

\sf{\longmapsto} \:  T =  \dfrac{4000}{8000}

\sf{\longmapsto} \:  T = \dfrac{1}{2}

\therefore The Time is \dfrac{1}{2} years.
