V=IR

1/Resistance in parrallel=1/8+1/8

Thus Resistance =4ohm

Resistance in series =4ohm+4ohm

Total resistance =8ohm

Potential difference(V) =8V

V=IR

8V=I*8ohm

Thus

Current(I) = 1 ampere(answer)
