Area of square : S^2 (S square) of square BEFC

                         =  6*6 = 36cm^2

HOPE IT WILL HELP

Area of right angled triangle = 1/2 * BASE * HEIGHT

         (BED and GCF)

For the base = DE^2=DB^2 + EB^2

                     = (5)^2= (3)^2 + EB^2

                     = 25 = 9 + EB^2

                     = -9+25 = EB^2

                     = 16 = EB^2

                     = EB = 4 cm

=>> 1/2 * base * height              (OF TRIANGLE BED)

=>> 1/2 * 4cm * 3cm

=>> 6 cm^2

similarly with the another right angled triangle GCF = 6 cm^2

so area of the lower shaded region = 36 + 36

                                                           = 72 cm^2

                                  hence proved.
