First calculate the effective resistance of the circuit.
here resistance 12 and 6 are in parallel combination
 \frac{1}{Reff} = \frac{1}{r1} + \frac{1}{r2} \\ = \frac{1}{12} + \frac{1}{6} \\ = \frac{1 + 2}{12} \\ = \frac{1}{4} \\ Reff = 4 \: ohm \\
Now look that resistance of 4 ohm is in series with reff( I.e. parallel combination)
so R total=
4 + 4 \\ = 8 \: ohm
from Ohm's law,we know that
V = IR
I= V/R amp
I = 16/8
I = 2 amp
total current pass through the circuit is 2 Amp.
Now to calculate Heat generated through each resistance we should have time in the question.Formula for heat generated is
H= I ^2 *R *t
we can calculate voltage drop across each resistance.
voltage drop across 4 ohm resistance is 2*4= 8 ohm
like that.
hope this solution and information helps you
