The total distance covered by the car is \frac{55}{3}

Explanation:

We are given that the car has been traveling for about 20 minutes approximately in which the first 10 minutes where  driven with different speed by the next 10 minutes with different speed .

Latest first calculate the distance traveled in the first 10 minutes:-

D 1 = s \times t = speed is 50 km per hour and time is 10 minutes changing time into hour \frac{10}{60} = \frac{1}{6} hr ⇒ 50\times \frac{1}{6} = \frac{50}{6}km

D 2= s \times t =Speed is 60 km per hour and time is 10 minutes again which equals \frac{1}{6} hr

D 2 = 60 \times \frac{1}{6}  = 10 km

Adding the two distances to find the total distance = \frac{50}{6} +10 = \frac{110}{6} = \frac{55}{3} km.
