HERE THE EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE OF R2 AND R3 ARE PARALLEL WITH THE R4 THUS THE EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE BETWEEN THEM                                                     =R4 ×(R2+R3) /( R4+R2+R3)

=( 12×12) /(12+12)

=6

HERE THE EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE BETWEEN R1 AND ABOVE MENTIONED EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE IS IN SERIES...

THUS THE EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE = R1+ 6
