Since, 2ohm and 4ohm are in series
then, 2+4=6ohm
now the remaining forms parallel connection.
so, 1/6+1/3+1/1=(1+2+6)/6=9/6=3/2=1.5ohm
so, the answer is 1.5ohms.

when u add both the numbers i.e. 2 and 4 ohms and combine them then it becomes parallel to other two.
