Answer :

To find the total savings, we need to add all the savings.

So, total savings be

= $ (4x - 6y + 6x + 2y + 4y - x + y - 2x)

= $ (7x + y)

Answer :

According to the question,

Savings in 1st week,W1 = $ (4x-6y)

Savings in 2nd week,W2 = $ (6x+2y)

Savings in 3rd week,W3 = $ (4y-x)

Savings in 4th week,W4 = $ (y-2x)

So the savings of a boy in total four weeks = Sum of savings of all weeks

=> Total savings in 4 weeks,T = W1 + W2 + W3 + W4

=> T = (4x-6y) + (6x+2y) + (4y-x) + (y-2x)

=> T = 4x + 6x - x - 2x + 2y + 4y + y - 6y

=> T = (7x + y) $

●So total savings of a boy is $ (7x+y)
