Answer:

total surface area =143.5 square cm and lateral surface area is 72 square cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the length off the cuboid is = 6.5 cm

breadth f the cuboid is = 5.5 cm

and the height of the cuboid is = 3 cm

let l=6.5 cm, b=5.5 cm and h = 3 cm where l= length, b= breadth and h= height

we know the total surface area of cuboid is= 2(lb+bh+hl)

we get

2(6.5 \times 5.5 + 5.5 \times 3 + 3 \times 6.5) \\  = 2(35.75 + 16.5 + 19.5) \\  = 2(71.75) \\  = 143.5 {cm}^{2}

total surface area is 143.5 square cm

we know the latera surface area=2h(l+b)

we get

2 \times 3(6.5 + 5.5) \\  = 72 \:  {cm}^{2}

lateral surface area is 72 square cm
