Given :-

  • length of cuboid, l = 2m
  • breadth of cuboid, b = 75cm = 0.75m
  • height of cuboid, h = 0.8m

To Find :-

  • total surface are and lateral surface area of cuboid ?

Solution :-

we know that,

 \boxed{ \bold{L.S.A  \: of \: cuboid = 2(l + b) \times h}}

 \bold{:  \implies 2(2 + 0.75) \times 0.8} \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 2 \times 2.75 \times 0.8 }  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies4.4 \:  {m}^{2}  }  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

so, lateral surface area of cuboid is 4.4

now,

 \boxed{ \bold{T.S.A \: of \: cuboid = 2(lb + bh + hl)}}

 \bold{: \implies 2(2 \times 0.75 + 0.75 \times 0.8 + 0.8 \times 2) } \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies 2(1.5 + 0.6 + 1.6)} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 2 \times 3.7 }\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 7.4 \:  {m}^{2}  }\:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

so, total surface area of cuboid is 7.4

hence,

• lateral surface area of cuboid is 4.4 m²

• total surface area of cuboid is 7.4 m²
