Given

dimensions of brick is 22cm by 10cm by 8cm

To Find

We have to find the total surface area of brick

\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Since, brick is in the form of a cuboid so, therefore it must have length , breadth and height

Length of brick = 22cm

breadth of brick = 10cm

height of brick = 8cm

Total surface area of brick = 2(lb+bh+hl)

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 2(220+80+176)

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 2(476)

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 952

∴Total surface area of brick is 952cm²

  • Curved surface area of cuboid = 2(l+b)*h
  • Volume of cuboid= l*b*h
