Question :-

Find the total surface area of a closed cylinder whose radius 5cm and height is 21cm.

Given :-

  • Radius of the cylinder = 5cm
  • Height of the cylinder = 21cm

Aim :-

  • To find the Total Surface Area of the cylinder (T.S.A)

Formula to use :-

Total surface area of cylinder = 2\pi rh + 2\pi r^{2} = 2\pi r(h+r)

Substituting the values,

=> 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 5(21+5)

=> \dfrac{220}{7} (26)

=> \dfrac{5720}{7}

Hence,

T.S.A = \dfrac{5720}{7}cm^{2} (or) 817.143cm²

Hope it helps!

Have a great day!

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area of a closed cylinder= 2πrh

or, 2× 22/7×5×21

= 660cm² ans
