To Find: Total surface area of the iron bar?

Answer:  Total surface area of the iron bar will be 1440 m².

Formula: Total surface area of Cuboid = 2(LB + BH + HL)

                where, L = length, B = Breadth, H = height

Given in the question:

L = length = 20m, B = Breadth = 15m, H = height = 12m

Solution -

The total surface area of the iron bar =  2(LB + BH + HL)

The total surface area of the iron bar = 2(20x15 + 15x12 + 12x20)

The total surface area of the iron bar = 2(300 + 180 + 240)

The total surface area of the iron bar = 2(720)

The total surface area of the iron bar = 1440 m².

Hence the total surface area of a cost iron bar whose length, width and height are 20m, 15m and 12m respectively is 1440 m².
