When

a plane through the centre of a sphere divides the sphere into 2 equal parts

then these two equal parts are called hemisphere

Given: radius(r) = 10 cm

Total surface area of hemisphere = 3πr²

= (3 × 3.14 × 10 ×10)

= 9.42×100

= 942 cm²

Hence, the total surface area of a hemisphere

is 942 cm²

Given:-

  • Radius of hemisphere = 10cm

To find:-

  • Find the total surface area of hemisphere.?

Solutions:-

The total surface area of hemisphere is 3πr²

  • π = 3.14
  • R = 10cm

According to the questions;-

  • Total surface area of a hemisphere = 3πr²

=> 3 × 3.14 × (10)²

=> 3 × 3.14 × 100

=> 3 × 314/100 × 100

=> 3 × 314

=> 942cm²

Hence, total surface area of a hemisphere is 942cm².

Some Important:-

  • Curved surface area of hemisphere = 2πr²
  • Total surface area of a hemisphere = 3πr²
  • Volume of a hemisphere = 2/3 πr³
