we know that,

the total surface area of sphere is equal to the lateral surface area of cylinder with the same radius and a height the length of the diameter of the sphere.

so,

let a cylinder of same radius and a height the length of the diameter of the sphere.

then,

lateral surface area of cylinder=2πrh

r=d/2

r=15cm,

h=d=30cm

lateral surface area of cylinder=2*22/7*15cm*30cm

=2828.57cm^
