Diagonal of the cube = √12

                           √3 a = √12

Squaring both sides,

                             3a² = 12

                               a² = 4

                        ⇒     a = 2

Total SA of the cube = 6a²

                                   = 6 × 2² = 6 × 4

                                   = 24 unit sq.
