Find the total surface area of each of the following right circular cylinders
(a) diameter of the base = 7 cm, height = 21 cm

given,

diameter=7cm

so, r=d/2

r=7/2

and, h=21cm

now,

total surface area of cylinder=2πr(h+r)

=2*22/7*7/2(21+7/2)

=22*49/2

=539 is right answer.

Radius = Diameter/ 2

R = 7/2 cm

let π be 3.14

2 x 3.14 x 7/2 ( 7/2 + 21 )

2 x 3.14  x 3.5 ( 3.5 + 21)

21.98 ( 3.5 + 21 )

21.98 x 24.5

538.51 cm^2
